Washington State EOC,
Below is the daily update for the Spokane Tribe of Indians as of April 6, 2020:
Effective Strategies and Successes
Hazard Mitigation Plan completion
Established Emergency Management Team
Collaboration with School District, BIA, SIHA and IHS

Emergency Declaration date- March 16, 2020
Number of testing sites and capacity
One testing site- David C. Wynecoop Memorial Clinic (IHS), Wellpinit WA

Testing

i. # Tested- 10

ii. # Pos Tests- 1 (We have one Reservation Resident who has tested positive at a Grant County facility)

iii. # Neg Tests- 7

iv. # Tests Pending Results- 3

Risks and challenges

PPE Status- Critical (Limited PPE on hand with exhausted supply chains)-Placing weekly requests to SEOC
Daily briefs with Tribal leadership and Emergency Management staff
Monitoring PPE levels for first responders and front-line essential personnel

Evaluating sustainability of long-term shutdown
Coordinating with WA State as Sub Recipient- Tribal Council approved WA State Sub Recipient Declaration on March 26, 2020. Coordinating with WA State on Sub Recipient requirements

Enforcement of closures

i. Tribe closed with essential personnel reporting extended through April 13, 2020

ii. Tribal Enterprises following state guidelines

iii. Reservation Campgrounds & Playgrounds closed on March 23, 2020 until further notice

iv. Additional closures of public fishing areas.

v. Tribe has suspended Transit services due to Stay at Home order

Future operational plans (24, 48, and 72 hours out)

Coordinating with WA State as Sub Recipient status Spokane Tribe establishing EOC and coordinating daily with Stevens County EOC

On April 1, 2020 Tribal Council passed Resolution 020-166 Establishing Social Distancing Requirements, Banning Social Gatherings, and Establishing Related Penalties due to COVID19 and Ongoing State of Emergency.
Posting Stay at Home Resolution Signage at all Reservation Entrances.
