Adopt a Family 2020

Help Us Celebrate a Decade of Generosity!!

The Spokane Tribe of Indians Christmas Adopt-A-Family program matches low-income families within the Spokane Tribal community anonymously with individual or group sponsors to provide gifts for their children at Christmas time. Without the benefit of an adoption, these families could be facing a very grim holiday.

We are mindful that COVID-19 has brought additional stressors this year and look forward to being a sense of relief for many families.

HOW IT WORKS: A family is matched with a sponsor; the children’s wish lists are sent to those sponsors to begin their shopping. Sponsors are asked to provide two or more gifts for the children in the household and may also include a gift for the adults as well. After receiving the gifts from the sponsors, we here at HHS ensure that every family’s gifts are delivered before Christmas.

All low-income parents and guardians are encouraged to apply and tribal programs who help families are more than welcome to refer families also.

To receive an application or if you would like to adopt a family, please contact Haley Stinson, Roni Stearns or Empero Corral at 509-258-7502 ext. 22 or ext. 19, email haley.stinson@spokanetribe.com, empero.corral@spokanetribe.com, veronica.stearns@spokanetribe.com or stop by the HHS front desk to pick up an application.
