INTRODUCTION:

We are looking for outgoing individuals, especially tribal youth, who are already involved in the Spokane Tribal community! This is one of five positions to hire a Census Community Liaison through grant funding. Must be able to work out in the field and within the Spokane Tribal community to reach out to households on the reservation regarding the 2020 Census.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct door to door Census outreach on the Spokane Reservation
  • Educate and inform households about the 2020 Census
  • Answer community questions about the 2020 Census
  • Help households take the 2020 Census
  • Attend and/or host census-related community events
  • Distribute 2020 Census information

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have proof of high school diploma or GED-equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Must know the Spokane Reservation area and community members
  • Must live on the Spokane Indian Reservation and be familiar with the culture
  • Must have access to a legal, insured vehicle to perform job duties
  • Must have a valid Washington state driver license, and a good driving record
  • Must attend the Na’ah Illahee Fund TCCL training in early February, will be reimbursed for training and travel
  • Must include Cover Letter with job application
