DIABETES AWARENESS 5KVIRTUAL WALK/RUN
In honor of Diabetes Awareness Month the STOI Diabetes program is hosting a virtual walk /run. Submit your distance to firstname.lastname@example.org every Friday for a Monday drawing!
If you have diabetes, being active makes your body more sensitive to insulin (the hormone that allows cells In your body to use blood sugar for energy), which helps manage your diabetes. Physical activity also helps control blood sugar levels and lowers your risk of heart disease and nerve damage
Participants have until 11/17/2020 to get miles In & will have a chance to win:
Turkey as a FINALIST
We will pick at random turkey winners on 11/17 for those who completed the 5K
Gift cards & other goodies during Monday drawings on 11/9, 11/16 and 11/ 23 for those who submit distance weekly
You do not have to complete the 5K to be entered for these weekly drawings you just need to submit your distance for the week!
You can walk, run, or dance, etc. to get your 5K (o r 3.1 miles) in
