POSITION: Revenue Auditor II                                          STATUS:  Full-Time

 

REPORTS TO: CFO                                                               SALARY:  $18.55/hr

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for accurately recording audits in a timely manner, thereby ensuring smooth and efficient operations in the Accounting Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position)

  • Must ensure all gaming activities (particular attention paid to Revenue Departments) conform to the Spokane Tribal Gaming Regulations, NIGC MICS, IC’s, SOP’s, Federal & State Tax Commissions, including but not limited to audits of Title 31, CTRC & SARC filing.
  • Must learn and ensure policies and procedures are followed per departments Internal Controls, investigate and document discrepancies and issue incident reports as necessary.
  • Must adhere to the Chewelah Casino Handbook.
  • Must adhere to our SMILE service standards and Core Values by providing excellent guest service.  Maintain a positive and productive attitude with guests as well as fellow team members.
  • Must have a complete understanding of all revenue departments audit records to effectively audit, investigate discrepancies, and enter assigned daily information into the revenue audit files including tracking of coupons and complimentary receipts.
  • Responsible for audit and reporting of Hotel; Bistro; Lounge; and Banquet including reconciliations and entering assigned daily information into the revenue audit files.
  • Responsible for back-up of Revenue Auditor and/or Administrative Assistant including SDS Slot System adjustments; Sportsbook Reporting and audit; Cage audits; Table Games and Food & Beverage Audits.
  • Responsible for maintaining monthly reconciliations and year-to-date records including but not limited to balancing audit reports.
  • Responsible for maintaining well organized files including all records retained for the current and prior years. The Revenue Auditor must have the ability to provide internal / external auditors, and gaming agents all source document information and the ability to answer all questions necessary to perform their audits.
  • Assist in maintaining floor security by notifying Management and Security of suspicious activity.
  • Facilitates the flow of information by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and special events if necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High School diploma or GED required. Some college courses in accounting or related area preferred.  Gaming/Cage experience preferred. Experience with audits preferred.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Basic software knowledge including Outlook, Excel and Word is a must.
  • Ability to be a team player.
  • Ability to work independently and use good judgment.
  • Good math skills.

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to the other duties described herein, every team member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

  • Must be 18 years of age to obtain and maintain a License B with Spokane Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Attend required training sessions offered by the Casinos.
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member’s department.
  • Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance.
  • Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management.
