Remediation is currently shut down for the season. The tribe, Newmont and EPA continue to engage in weekly meetings to discuss the 2023 season as well as dealing with issues related to the 2022 season. The Spokane Tribal Business council, other tribal representatives and Newmont will have their regular scheduled meeting on December 5,2022. Newmont, EPA and the tribe will have a meeting in January to discuss the pit 4 overburden and the south pond. Once the January meeting is completed there will be a  Midnite Mine Community meeting scheduled to discuss the outcome.
