Midnite Mine – Offer Your Input

Hello!

Thank you for your continued interest in the Midnite Mine Superfund cleanup! We have a couple of updates for you:

  1. Offer your input!

EPA’s Technical Assistance Services for Communities Program would like to hear from community and tribal members impacted by the cleanup of the Midnite Mine site. If you would be willing to participate in a short one-on-one telephone conversation, please contact Ricky Sherwood at (509) 458-6586 (rickys@spokanetribe.com) or Alison Frost (719)256-6708 (afrost@skeo.com). The goal of this effort is to listen and learn from tribal members and identify ways for EPA to provide assistance to the community during the cleanup.

  1. Weekly Reports

With the start of the cleanup construction season, weekly reports are posted about the activities and progress at the site. You can find those reports at: Weekly reports of ongoing cleanup work at the Mine (provided to EPA by Newmont)

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Linda Meyer, Remedial Project Manager, at meyer.linda@epa.gov, or Julie Congdon, Community Involvement Coordinator, at congdon.julie@epa.gov

For more information about EPA’s cleanup of the Midnite Mine Superfund Site, please visit our Midnite Mine webpage.

Thank you!
