POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing/Advertising Coordinator is responsible for coordinating details as they relate to all areas of marketing: advertising, social media, website content, promotions, event planning, direct mail program, CMP Prize/Promotion programming and public relations.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Work with all regulatory agencies, i.e., Gaming Commission, State, and Federal in a professional and positive manner;
Ensure policies and procedures are being followed per the departments’ Internal Controls.
Must adhere to the Chewelah Casino Team Member Handbook;

Must adhere to our SMILE service standards by providing excellent guest service;
As directed by the Marketing Manager, assists in the development and production of marketing collateral, signage and advertising;

Using Casino Marketplace assists to create Tools Application, Maintain Tag Codes, Create Prizes, CMP Promotions; 
Coordinates on-site signage display including print and digital;
Creates and distributes team member newsletter;
Assists the marketing manager with website content management to ensures all content is accurate and posted/removed in a timely manner;
Assists the marketing manager and internal departments to execute social media strategies through various platforms including, but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Google;
Assists, as needed, with variable data offers and matrix uploads;
Assists in creating Pro Forma and Post Forma reports for events, direct mail etc.; 
Assists in photo and film shoots;
Assists with copy editing and design proofing;
Assists in strategizing promotions and writing promotion rules;
Assists with event planning;
Assists with departmental needs as requested;

Other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of 4 years of experience in the field of marketing/advertising is preferred.
High School diploma or GED required.
Excellent Guest Service skills.
Ability to meet timelines.
Ability to work independently and use good judgment.
MS Office Suite – advanced.
Outlook – intermediate.
Casino Marketplace experience.
Adobe In-Design and Photoshop – intermediate or above skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to communicate effectively with co-workers, guests, management and outside marketing agency.
Must be able to multi-task and work in fast paced environment.
Must be familiar with and able to operate computers, printers and comfortable with public speaking using a microphone.
Detail orientated.
Must be able to resolve guest complaints in a timely and professional manner.

While performing the duties of this job the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. You may be subject to secondhand smoke when in the casino environment.

 

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to the other duties described herein, each and every employee has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

Obtain and maintain a License C with Spokane Tribal Gaming Commission.
Attend required training sessions offered by the Casinos.
Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the employee’s department.
Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance.
Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management.
